Great response from businesses to Jobs Fair

Sixty local employers have already signed up for the Harlow Jobs Fair which I am organising at Harlow Leisurezone on Friday, October 26.

The event will be opened by Employment Minister Chris Grayling.

There is still time for local employers to register for the event which is also being backed by Harlow Job Centre and employment charity SEETEC, Harlow Chambers of Commerce, Harlow College and Olympic torchbearer Mike Jackson.

I am delighted with the response that the Jobs Fair has already received but we are keen to get more local businesses on board.

I am particularly pleased that Harlow College, the number one college in England, will be offering retraining and apprenticeships.

The jobs fair has attracted support from big and small companies, charities, and others.”Exhibitors already include household Harlow names such as Dizzy Ducks and Rainbow Services to high-tech firms like Arrow UK, Applied Scintillation Technologies, and the Ministry of Defence.

Under the Conservative-led Government we have seen falling unemployment in Harlow in every single month this year.

Over 500 new jobs have come back to our town. This is fantastic news and we should be proud of it.

The BBC have also said Harlow has the fastest business growth - not just in England, but across the whole country.

The aim is to help local people who are looking for a job, to meet companies with vacancies. Entry is free, and there will also be free job-training seminars, such as CV workshops.

Attendees and exhibitors alike can sign-up online at www.harlowjobsfair.eventbright.com
