I am encouraging local businesses to enter a competition which is offering a prize package worth over £40,000 for the region’s top entrepreneurial talent.
‘The One’ competition 2012 - the brainchild of Nichola Cain, MD of Voice Communications - is now in its third year and is being run through the East Anglian Daily Times in conjunction with a number of other successful businesses in the region.
Harlow has the fastest business growth in the UK and has a wide range of businesses who are helping to put Harlow on the map.

Entrants will be required to provide a description of their business, product or service idea, details of their achievements to date as well as their ambitions and ideas about what they would use the prize package to achieve. Entry is only available to businesses which have been trading for less than five years and are based in Essex, Suffolk or Norfolk.
The judging panel will select a shortlist of finalists, who will be invited to give a 45-minute
presentation of their business idea at Layer Marney Tower, near Colchester.
The final judging takes place and a winner will be selected at the end of November.
