MPs to debate oil market: Regular readers will know I have pressed for a full-scale investigation into the oil  market, with the PetrolPromise.com campaign that I founded. We have published a dossier of evidence, about how oil companies are taking Britain for a very expensive ride. MPs will now formally debate - and VOTE  on what should happen next... Prime Minister praises Harlow College: Prime Minister David Cameron has added his congratulations to the efforts of students and staff at Harlow College after it was labelled the number one college in the country. This summer we have seen record-breaking results at Harlow College. This is thanks to the hard work of Principal Colin Hindmarch, staff, and all their students. Harlow College is now number one - not just in Essex, but across the whole country.
Visit to Harlow Lions: On Thursday evening I visited the Harlow Lions at the Maypole Club to hear about the 'Message in a bottle' campaign and all their other community work.

The Lions have given out over 1,000 bottles (medium size plastic tubes) to vulnerable people across the town. The 'bottles' contain a medical form and two green emergency stickers. One is kept on the bottle and one on the door. 
The bottle is kept in the fridge. In the event of an emergency, when the services arrive, they see the sticker, go straight to the fridge, open the bottle, and are able to see the person's medical details straight away.

Met concerned constituents in Old Orchard (pictured above)  to discuss ‘The Black Run’ alleyway that runs behind their houses which has become a hub for anti-social behaviour, including drug-use and drinking.
