Beautiful Art from a 350 year old faith community

I went to the Old Baptist Church festival today and beautiful art abounded.

All around the Church were beautiful biblical paintings - in order of old and new testament. There was also a huge flower arrangement in the centre, surrounded by giant leeks, marrows and a huge pumpkin. The latter had all been grown and prepared by an eighty-four old lady from her allotment.

What was special about the festival was the detail which the Baptist church had gone to. Underneath each painting was an open bible, with the relevant passage to the painting in full view.

This Harlow faith community is over three hundred and fifty years old.

P.S. The festival is on tomorrow as well, so well worth a visit.
