The F Plate

How often have you watched funeral corteges be overtaken by unthinking drivers?  Even worse, you may have been part of that Cortege, grieving, behind the main funeral car, and someone behind beeps at you or speeds past, taking no consideration that you may be part of a funeral procession.
Local Harlow resident, Lynn Culver has come up with an interesting proposal to deal with this problem: the F Plate.
Drivers on their way to funerals would place the F Plate on the back of their car, much in the same way learner or provisional drivers do.  Hopefully it would result in respect for those driving to funerals - and help change behaviour.
I think the F Plate is a great idea and I plan to promote it in Parliament. The F Plate could be included as part of the Highway Code.
