Harlow Services unaffected by IMF Loan
Britain is committed to the IMF - helping to stabilise the World economy. My key concern is that this must NOT affect Harlow families' taxes, or our local public services.
Please see my Question below:
Robert Halfon (Harlow): Can my hon. Friend assure my Constituents that there will be no impact on the increased spending on our schools and hospitals that the coalition Government are providing, and no impact on cutting taxes for more than 40,000 Harlow residents through raising the income tax threshold?
Chancellor of the Exchequer (George Osborne): I can absolutely assure the people of Harlow that we will deliver a big increase in their personal tax-free allowance, continue with real increases in the health service, support their schools and, above all, get their economy moving after the disastrous mess that the previous Labour Government put us in.
You can watch the video above.
