Campaigning across Harlow for a Conservative Council that costs residents less and protects community services

A great campaigning Saturday. In advance of the local elections, we had many volunteers from neighbouring constituencies and from all parts of London.

We were also assisted by two local MEPs (Geoffrey Van Ordern and Vicky Ford), whom, alongside loads of local Conservatives, delivered thousands of leaflets and knocked on doors all across Harlow.

With some volunteers, I was in Broadwalk with a stall for much of the day. Although it was windy and raining, most shoppers - without a party political axe to grind - took our Council Tax Freeze newspaper.  They welcomed Harlow Conservative Council's determination to keep down Council Tax and to safeguard community services.

The message for this local election is simple:  Harlow Conservative Council protects residents from Council Tax rises, protects community services and provides value for money. A Labour Council would mean more spending, more taxes and more waste.
