VIDEO: MPs should have a say on keeping Big Ben free

Today I went to the Backbench Business Committee to ask for a debate on the recent decision to charge £15 per head for tours of the Big Ben clocktower.

My motion to scrap these plans already has support of over 35 MPs from all sides of the political spectrum. I hope to push this to a vote - and give Parliament a say about what should happen.

Yesterday I raised a point of order to the Speaker of the House (see it here) and I was interviewed by BBC Essex (see here) on this issue.

I have also written about this issue before. Read here for more details.
