Harlow families are paying up to £16m a year towards public services in Scotland

Regular readers will know that I have called for ‘English votes for English laws’ after revealing that every English household is paying an extra £420 a year extra in tax, to subsidise public services in Scotland.

Speaking in the House of Commons I asked Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg whether we can have justice, and ‘English Votes for English Laws’.

The Government has published a figure of £420 a year being paid by every English household to subsidise public services in Scotland.

This means that Harlow families are paying up to £16 million a year to Scotland - in exchange for very little. This is a colossal sum of money. Just think what that cash could do if it was kept in our town, and spent on Harlow.
