For this reason Remembrance Sunday is a very special day. It brings our community together to remember courage and sacrifice. It reminds us how tradition is an important anchor between the generations.
Today at the Harlow Royal British Legion Service in the Town Park, Reverend Albert Watson, reminded all those assembled, not just about the heroism of those soldiers in Afghanistan, but also what they were fighting for: to rid the world of a totalitarianist ideology that sought to crush freedom across the world.
Lest we forget.
