Harlow College: Aspiration and Community

Harlow College has had some outstanding academic results recently, and the College is clearly on an upward path.

What is especially important, is that the College is fulfilling an essential role as a community institution in the heart of Harlow. So I was delighted today to attend the Student Fair - in which students, community organisations and businesses got together to hold a major exhibition. The College Hall was packed solid, and I was able to meet almost everyone - from Apprentices to St Clare Hospice. I also went to see an Army Careers bus that had hitched up - and met a former Harlow College Apprentice, who now has become an army officer.

After, I had discussions with College Staff, including the Principal and Deputy Principal. One thing strikes you clearly, when you meet students and staff: the College is a place of aspiration, aspiration, aspiration.
