Inspirational Art at the Gatehouse

Given all the doom and gloom there is around today (after the miserable North London riots), I thought it would be a good time to put some great art pictures on my blog.

Last Thursday I attended the Harlow Gatehouse Art exhibition which show-cased local artists. It was excellent. I was really happy to be there. You can see me with local artists, as well as a few of the exhibits themselves.

  1. Re petrol duty. Thanks for trying for us all.

Petrol Duty should be a cash duty, not a percentage or VAT related tax take.

Surely the point is its a massive social injustice to tax fuel on a % when petrol can and has doubled in pre tax price in 5 years and the tax % is in the hundred's, doubling the massive tax revenues on fuel without a law ever being passed to allow that, and for no increased use by the consumer.

This is a wildly irresponsible tax grab out of our disappearing disposable income, big enough to make a money lender blush. But not those block voting MPs who stand for their party first and the people second, untroubled by Maths or justice as they march through the lobby at their party's call. Hope that helps,
