One of the most iconic watches in the world - and a great example of human genius - is the mechanical Omega Speedmaster - the only watch to have been worn on the moon. The watch had its debut in 1957, but was only picked by Nasa some years later. Neil Armstrong left his Omega in the rocket: it was Buzz Aldrin who actually had the 'Speedy' on his wrist as he stepped on the moon after Armstrong. The Speedmaster has subsequently been the 'official' timepiece of Astronauts in most moon expeditions. The watch was also used during the 1971 Lunar landing - in which a Lunar vehicle was used to travel on the moon.
To commemorate the 1971 Apollo Landing, Omega have just produced a special limited edition Speedmaster. It looks like an incredible watch, genuinely reflecting its unique heritage.
