You've heard of 'people power', well now there is 'people against PowerPoint'. Hard to believe, but a new Political movement in Switzerland; 'the anti-Powerpoint Party' (APP), has been established to campaign against the Microsoft Powerpoint App. The Party argues that the amount of time people are spending on Powerpoint - and attending Powerpoint meetings, is unproductive and costs the Swiss economy up to 2.5 billion dollars a year.
This is certainly a novel political movement and a pretty curious cause to take up battle cry against. But does the APP have a point (forgive the Pun)? The time spent preparing these slides and listening/watching them being presented must be huge. On the other hand, what about the hours spent on Facebook/Twitter, or even the internet per se? So the APP, may be opening up a can of worms....
It will be fascinating to see how they fare at the Swiss polls.
