A University Technical College in Harlow

Today I asked the Government for a debate on the exciting prospect of University Technical Colleges, after extra funding was announced by the Chancellor yesterday in the 2011 Budget.

This will allow as many as 24 UTCs to be established across the UK.

Lord Baker - the former Education Secretary - has visited Harlow College and has strongly encouraged them to apply to become a UTC.
