Many of you will remember that Lord Tebbit came to Harlow just a few days before the last General Election, and did a public walkabout in the town centre.
I am really pleased to say that he will be back in Harlow in just a few hours time, for the Harlow Conservatives Ladies annual Churchillian Dinner. Like Sir Winston, Lord Tebbit, was also MP for Harlow, when the town came under the Epping Constituency.
It should be a very special evening, especially as some of the guests present, were the original Tory members who selected Lord Tebbit as MP, in a meeting held in Potter Street, in 1970.
Lord Tebbit once wrote in his auto-biography, that the road to Westminster lies through Harlow. I could not agree more!
