What is the only thing that G-d cannot do?

Blog postings will be somewhat lighter than usual as Vanda and I are staying in a remote Farmhouse - part of which was built in the seventeenth Century - on the Cumbrian-Northumbrian-Scottish Border.

The countryside is as remarkable as one would expect. As I look around me, I am reminded of that eternal question: what is the only thing that G-d cannot do? The answer is of course - to build two hills without a valley.

Over the next few days, I look forward to seeing the green fields, valleys and mountains, and stop and stand and stare a little.

P.S. Tomorrow a home cooked breakfast with hot porridge and double cream.

P.P.S. Also planned are visits to Carlisle, the Lakes, Hadrian's Wall, Gretna Green and Lockerbie.
