It was a wonderful holiday, staying deep in the Cumbrian countryside, on the border with Scotland on one side and Northumbria on the other.
What made the break even more special, was staying in Craigburn Farm. This is a B&B Farmhouse in the deep countryside, surrounded by forest and meadows. The owners, Geoffrey and Louise Lawson, could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The breakfasts were amazing too - with the yellowest of hen's egg that one could possibly eat.
It will be strange not to be woken up by a cock-a-doodle do from the farmyard and looking out of the window to see sheep busy munching away. Most of all, I will miss the wonderful peace, tranquillity and beauty, that only such a place as Craigburn Farm can bring.
