Wednesday in the House of Commons. More briefings, in the main Chamber and with MPs of all parties. We were taken through the various procedures for tabling questions and bills, as well as asking Parliamentary Questions.
It was interesting to meet Opposition MPs, even though we will be facing many in an adversarial context in the months ahead.
In the afternoon it was a meeting with the new Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority. To say the rules are complicated is an understatement - but a clear consequence of the MPs expense scandal last year.
I have already met two Harlow Constituents who work in the Commons. One a Police Officer, and the other a computer expert.
It has been a good three days. Next week I hope to take the MPs Oath of Office.
