Of all these failings, it surely must be the fact that so many of children cannot read or count that is the most damning. As a generation of our children are cast into the wilderness, it is not surprising that Gordon Brown, seeks to move the discussion away from what has happened under this Government, to distracting and arcane arguments about party funding.

P.S. Talking of funding reminds me that Labour gets £25 million from just a handful of Trade Unions. So who is really the Piper and who is playing the Tune? Ask the Trade Union UNITE, organiser of the British Airways Strike.
