Calling local residents

A good time today with a bus load of volunteers from Harlow going to the Conservative phone bank, to call thousands of local residents. The response we had was really encouraging, although there is a lot of case-work to deal with.

Most people want a change of Government. There is real anxiety about the state of the economy, jobs and particularly the huge debt problem.
I am glad we spoke to so many residents on the phone. As well as canvassing - knocking on doors - and meeting voters through street stalls and community activities, it is another way of ensuring that we keep in touch with what people are thinking.

As the election draws ever closer, there will be many more days of telephone canvassing and door knocking ahead - so as to reach as many Harlow residents as possible, and persuade them as to to the merits of our cause.
