It has to be Stavros

I had been veering between Susan Boyle and Shaheen Jafagholi, but after last night, it just has to be Stavros Flatley. As The Sun says today, they were Absolutely Kebabolous. Not only were Father & Son really funny, and brilliant dancers, they also showed real warmth and love for each other. Even grumpy- guts Simon Cowell liked them - and that was most unexpected. Stavros Flatley act is so mad and wacky but great at the same time. The music which they dance to, was superb as well. This Britain's Got Talent, has been remarkable for the fact that the people who have reached the finals, don't look like 'beautiful people' or would fit into the latest edition of Hello! magazine. They have won on merit and because of their originality. Vanda & I are looking forward to celebrate Stavros's hopeful victory with my good friend and Chairman of Conservative Fastrack (a Young Professionals group), Maria Iaonnou, on 7 June, over a wonderful Greek meal with her parents.

So no going out on Saturday night, as I have to perform a very important duty that is essential for our democracy. That is to vote for Stavros Flatley on Saturday night!

P.S. A You Tube Video of the excellent duo can be seen (an earlier audition) HERE

P.P.S. I have just been informed by Ben Murphy, former Mayor of Epping Town Council, via Facebook, that Stavros owns a contracting firm which provides services to Harlow Council. If true, that is excellent news!!!
