Yesterday, there was a terrible tragedy in Harlow, with the loss to our community of four children and their mother in a horrific house fire. It is impossible to even imagine the suffering that has been caused.
It is important to let the police and emergency services carry out their work, before we can truly find out how this tragedy occurred.
Harlow is a very special place, with a unique sense of community. I hope very much everyone, of every faith, and no faith, will rally together to say a prayer for the family, their friends and their community.
I know that community leaders, faith leaders, Harlow Council and others will be doing everything possible to help in every way.
