Back from Conference

I am just back from Conservative conference - apologies for not blogging over the past few days, but it was a really hectic schedule.

I was asked to speak in a number of fringe meetings during the conference discussing aspiration, capitalism, trade unions and campaigning.

My main point was that Conservatives have to be the party of aspiration and community - and everything we do must reflect these things.  In practice, this means focusing on the cost of living, lowering taxes for lower earners and re-invigorating the Big Society.

That is why I welcome the message of aspiration from the PM - and measures announced by Ministers to freeze council tax and curb excessive rail prices.

More blogs on conference will be on their way  >>>>>.
